THIS STORY

Tsui Wah @Clarke Quay

Once again, HK food that I fell in love with. Have always heard people raving about this HK restaurant. Always love how HK charchanteng always let me have a main, a side and my favorite milk tea!

Kagoshima Style Braised Pork Cartilage with tossed instant noodles - $12.50

Honestly never been more happy with an instant noodle dish haha. The pork cartilage truly a star and the instant noodles are like the simple yet yummy companion. The pork was so tender, well seasoned, greasy and melty. Best texture and flavors of soy sauce and bean paste sauce probably. Thumbs up for this!

Crispy Bun with condensed milk - $4.70 and Milk Tea - $4.20

Gosh the bun was so sinful, so full of butter, and diabetic condensed milk. Plus it's still crunchy omg. I can hear my blood under high pressure :P

Milk tea was standard good.

Wanton Mee - $10.60

HK soup version! Peppery goodness.

Kinda love the ambience too, it's kinda classy but warm at the same time. Definitely gonna come back!

Bonus: was craving for old school kaya butter toast and hence walked all the way to Heap seng Leong for a super oldskul kopitiam experience.

Our kaya butter toast and kopi after queuing for almost 45 mins. Think the butter was kinda melting, I prefer it to be like still a lil bit cold for me to bite into the block. The bread is typical fluffeh hainanese bread.

Honestly, it's not my favorite toast but I guess it's just the nostalgia that makes everything taste better. The kopitiam legit look like the kopitiam that I used to visit when I was still a kid. Random posters, mirrors, the marble table, even the fridge looks aged.
