O Bba JjaJang
As much as I love making my own food, there are just food that I can't make efficiently and can't beat the taste. Definitely a place that I will come frequently coz this is where I get delicious jajangmyeon, jjampong and jokbal! Super satisfying. But crazy queue though. If u want to eat at 8pm on a Friday night, u need to go write your name at 6.30pm. No joke.
Jajangmyeon (Black bean sauce noodle) S$ 12
Love how they just slap loads of sauce with super fragrant onions on top. The noodles are super chewy. The sauce is sweet and savory, it's just super addictive and I think we always think of having one bowl to ourselves.
Jjampong S$15
So addictive too! Chili powder soup with loads of seafood and crunchy veg. Damn satisfying to chow down the savory soup too. We always have a tough time deciding between this and jajangmyeon and so we always get both and share.
Jokbal (boiled Pork trotter) S$40
Not the most tender but it's just super satisfying to chew on all these thiccck and chewy greasy slices of pork. Love how it's lightly seasoned just with sesame oil and salt.
And one of the cool things about the restaurant is the partitioned rooms and has like cushions and blankets to keep you comfy throughout your meal. All the waiters are super nice and energetic. But the only bad thing is, business is so good that the waiters actually try to sort of chase you out. They will clear your tables quickly and politely ask u to settle the bill because there are people still queuing.
And there's free ice pops that you can grab after your meal. You can't eat them in the restaurant so we went to the small little Park nearby.
Manage to chope one of the swings! Something about swings that just make chilling around more chill.
