Heavenly Basque Burnt Cheesecake from Kins Specialty @Pasir Panjang

Seriously one of the best discoveries during Phase 2. Basque Burnt Cheesecake with the most luxurious texture, the most impressive latte art I have ever seen and such a spacious and chill ambience. Your friend will be happy if you bring them here.

The cafe is located at the Ground floor of a Condominium block in Pasir Panjang. Quiet area for sure. Most of the seats are outdoor but under a transparent awning so you can still dine comfortably in the middle of the rain!

Let's start with coffee. That's my friend's Mocha ($6) with the pretty layered heart. Can we just appreciate the pretty coffee cup as well. It's like drinking the coffee from this cup will have extra soothing effect haha.

That, is the most incredible latte art I have ever seen so far. Gosh it's a unicorn, with wings and it's on clouds! Seriously this already brightened my mood. Like super grateful for the barista to actually put in d effort to draw this! Coffee is definitely therapeutic to me!

We saw awesome reviews on Google to try the basque burnt cheesecake. Ordered the Hojicha one ($8.50) since I suppose this might be unique to Kins. Tasted it, love it so much. The texture is just rich and smooth with just d right delicious hint of Hojicha. We couldn't stop eating it. Totally not jelak.

The Hojicha one was surprisingly delicious and it didn't take long before we start contemplating whether we should get the original one. That rarely happens really! Especially not when we just had a very filling lunch at Uncle Ho's Tuckshop. But Woah d cheesecake just made us crave for more. And I'm glad we ordered the Kins Burnt Cheesecake ($8). It's a different experience for sure. The savory flavors of cheese is more pronounced. It's in the middle of the savory snack-dessert spectrum. So good and once again we finished 80% in just a few minutes. Remainder 20% is d typical paiseh portion to slowly finish. If I had to choose, think this original version is such a delightful one. But hey Hojicha is amazing too. So just get both la k?

I think their mains are pretty popular as well. It's almost like we are the only table that did not order a main.

Once again, love the ambience. It's minimalistic with hints of greens and liveliness. Feels like a great place for a lazy afternoon haha. Oh and the rattan chairs were so comfy!

Comfy white shirt that I didn't bother to iron haha. Perfect for the lazy day.
