THIS STORY

Bloom by Mok Mok @Mount Austin

Once again, the Austin cafe scene is still budding with new concepts, fresh vibes and great food. It's been a while since I last visited but I really thought the cafe scene would have been saturated. But nope, there's always something I haven't try, there's always a hype over something new.

Woa look at this colour combo. I'm totaly sold. These colours are like both dark, classy yet dreamy. Again, this is like the most hyped cafe in Austin now, be prepared to wait. This is what we do while queuing:

With those colours in the background, any photo looks pretty here.

The bench aka photobooth

After around 20 minutes wait, finally get to enter the mysterious shop. Just as the first photo suggests, there's dry flowers hanging all over the ceiling. With the wooden tables and romantic hanging lights, feels like a secret garden. It's like, you built an upside down garden in the most impossible conditions, guess thats why it feels almost dreamy and fantasy-like.

Unagi Rice Bowl - RM 38

Cousin got this. Warm and moist rice with teriyaki sauce and greasy unagi slices. Very appetizing and Im sure you will like it.

Krusty Krab - RM 28

I love all things crab. Even better when there's chili involved. Like the spicy, tangy crab paste which goes well with the soft bread. There's somethign crunchy in the paste which I cant really figure out what is it but it does add another layer of texture.

Souffle Pancake with Honey - RM 20

Hands down my favorite pancake. Loving the fluffy and airy cream cheese souffle pancakes. At first I was worried it looks too much coz it's afterall much thicker than usual pancake but this wasn't heavy or greasy at all. It's just warm, soft and moist. The pancake is good on its own, but the honey and cream on the sides just adds on a right amount of sweetness. The nuts give an extra crunch and mild toasty flavor to the whole dessert. Mad Love in this!

Royal Tea (left) - RM 7

A Bloom for You (right) - RM 12

As if dramatics makes the tea taste better, the tea was served alongside a small tub of dry ice on the side to create the smokey dreamy effect. Like I'm drinking some potions in this secret garden LOL. A Bloom for You was good, refreshing floral taste to pair with all the yummy food. Cousin's Royal Tea tasted like something more oriental but equally refreshing.

Wide selection of food and drinks plus its totally instagrammable. Recommending this cafe to everyone!
